I think the Twitter thing is bullshit. Ian Wright isn't even on Twitter anymore. For what it's worth, I think SWP could be a great signing.

True, it's not an area which I would consider a priority BUT, despite his loss of form of late, he is still a good player and, most importantly for me, he is a 'big name' player. Don't get me wrong, I mm not a person who gets excited just because a platter can do a fancy flick and, if it was a choice between signing SWP on loan or Wheater permanently, then I'd opt for Wheater as defence is clearly an area which needs strengthening.

However, signing SWP would give the club a huge boost in morale going into the business end of the season. It would show a statement of intent and that we are determined to secure a place in the top ten, if not higher. It would give the whole club a lift to pull off a big name signing. Most people have been looking at Brum signing Bentley and Keane. While they may not want them at Bolton for whatever reason, they're eye catching signings; they're a statement of intent. Signing SWP would be a similar statement from Bolton. That's my take on it anyway.

I'm not a huge fan but, if the numbers men think we can afford it, bring him in. Might make our rivals take note anyway.
