macronman created the topic: Transfer embargo

I wonder how the resignation of Deloitte as auditors is going to affect the transfer embargo. There are now no properly audited accounts in place since the 2013/14 financial year.

I thought Ken sacked them off rather than they resigned. Part of his plan to live within our means.

He has appointed Cowgills in Bolton as the new accountancy firm for the club.

No. Resigned:"......we have not been able to obtain sufficient appropriate audit evidence to provide a basis for an audit opinion."

Formal notice of resignation lodged with companies house.

Gets murkier and murkier. I wish the Club would make a clear statement:

(a) Does KA now own 94.5% of the Club?
(b) If so, how much did he pay for DH's share (presumably more than the 50p that DH paid)?
(c) Why did the Club Board agree to the Bluemarble loan being secured against the assets of the Club.
Or, are we to believe that the Board knew nothing about it, in which case there is surely a breach of company law?

I read that Ken owned 47.?% and now owns 57.?%, not 94.5% as you stated. I've not seen an actual article about it yet, just what burndenaces posted on FB.

Yes, I see KA's latest statement. His claim not so long ago to have bought out Sports Shields holding in Burnden Leisure for a great deal of money seems to have fallen through. We will have to wait and see whether he really is going to dig into his own pocket to pay off Blumarble.
